© Reuters U.S. stocks higher at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.60%Investing.com – U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
The index gained 0.60% at the close of NYSE. Meanwhile, it climbed 0.95% and added 0.73%.
Cisco Systems In (NASDAQ:) were the top performers during the session. They gained 2.95%, or 1.70 points, to close at 59.25. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ) added 2.83 percent or 9.44 Points to finish at 342.54 while Apple Inc was up 2.80% (or 4.89 point) to 179.45.
These were the worst performers of the session. Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:) fell 1.37%, or 5.43 points, to trade at 391.06 by the close. Boeing Co (NYSE:) fell 1.20%, or 2.50 points, to finish at 205.06 Amgen Inc (NASDAQ:) The stock fell 0.79%, or 1.68 points, to 210.89
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Oracle Corporation (NYSE:) which rose 15.61% to 102.63, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:) which was up 9.61% to settle at 21.45 and Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 8.27% to close at 631.68.
Southwest Airlines Company, NYSE: was the worst performer with a drop of 3.76% at 41.97 in late trading. Ventas Inc (NYSE:), which dropped 2.77% and settled at 48.37 United Rentals Inc (NYSE:), which fell 2.45% to 347.81 by the end.
These were the top performers in the NASDAQ Composite Qutoutiao Inc (NASDAQ) rose by 733.33% and reached 3.7000. SigmaTron International Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 84.67% to settle at 14.940 and Vasta Platform Ltd (NASDAQ:) which gained 52.49% to close at 4.590.
These were the worst performers Everbridge Inc (NASDAQ) was down 45.39% at 63.00 in late-trade, AGM Group Holdings Inc class A (NASDAQ) lost 38.18% to settle for 5.36 Angion Biomedica Corp (NASDAQ:), which fell 25.21% to 2.61 by the end.
The New York Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing by 1670 to1586. 134 closed unchanged, but 2334 were down and 1486 moved on. On the Nasdaq Stock Exchange however, 207 closed unchanged.
Oracle Corporation’s shares rose to new highs, rising 15.61% (or 13.86) to 102.63. Southwest Airlines Company (NYSE 🙂 shares plunged to 52 week lows, losing 3.76% (1.64 to 41.97). Ford Motor Company’s shares rose 9.61%, or 1.88 to 21.45 to reach 5-year highs. Broadcom Inc’s (NASDAQ:), shares rose 8.27%, or 48.26 to 641.68. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:), shares rose to record highs with an increase of 2.80%, or 4.89 to 179.45. Everbridge Inc’s shares (NASDAQ:), fell 45.39% to 52.37, or 63.00 to 52.09 from 52.37. SigmaTron International Inc. (NASDAQ:), shares rose to new 5-year highs, gaining 84.67% (6.850 to 14.940). AGM Group Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) shares fell to their lowest levels ever, falling by 38.18% (3.31 to 5.36). Angion Biomedica Corp shares (NASDAQ:), fell to new lows, losing 25.21% (0.88 to 2.61).

EUR/USD was up 0.1% to 1.1312, USD/JPY declined 0.05% at 113.39
