WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – A high-ranking White House aide met Friday with Austin Tice’s mother. Austin disappeared in 2012 while covering Syria.

According to Jen Psaki, Jake Sullivan was President Joe Biden’s national security advisor. According to Jen Psaki, she said that the U.S. government would do everything possible to return the journalist and ex-Marine officer as well as any other Americans held abroad.
