WASHINGTON (Reuters] – While three doses are recommended for COVID-19 vaccination, the optimal care is two. Two doses of BioNTech/Pfizer or Moderna (NASDAQ:) vaccines or one of the Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) vaccine remains the U.S. government’s official definition of fully vaccinated, top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci said on Sunday.

“For official requirements, it’s still two shots of the mRNA (Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna) and one shot of the J&J for the official determination of what’s required or not. Fauci stated that it is clear from the data that you need a booster if your health and safety are important.
