MILAN (Reuters – A four-storey structure collapsed in Ravanusa, Sicily, following a natural gas explosion. Rescuers searched for twelve missing people, three of them children, according to ANSA news agency.

ANSA stated that the fire started when a pipe burst in the 11,000-strong town near Agrigento. This is a southwestern Sicilian area known for its Greek temples.

After putting out the flames, firefighters began digging into the rubble in search of the lost.

ANSA stated that the explosion caused damage to at least two other buildings in central town.
