Malaysia says U.S. chipmaker Intel to invest $7 billion in new facility -Breaking

KUALA LUMPUR, (Reuters) – American chipmaker Intel Corporation (NASDAQ) plans to invest $30 billion ringgit (7.10 billion) into a state-of the-art new facility in Malaysia, Malaysian authorities announced Monday.

In a media invitation to the media, Malaysian Investment Development Authority stated that Intel Corporation has chosen Malaysia as a manufacturing location for advanced semiconductor packaging technology in Penang.
