This year, the crypto gaming market has witnessed several giants. Yield Guild Games and Mythical Games were among them. Dapper Labs, Dapper Labs and, of course, Gala Games are also included. It was a hub that brought together NFT marketplaces, token developers, gamers, publishers and small metaverses.

Gala Games is perhaps the most significant of all. Usually developers tend to focus on one specific feature, and then polish it until it’s dazzling in order to create a selling point for their product. Enjin, for example, is a global gaming network that is open to everyone; Yield Guid Games provides scholarships and NFT characters for rent and Animoca Brands are one of the largest crypto-gaming investors.

While surfing the internet, I came across a curious website that offers more functionality.

Onessus Gaming Studio + Amazon (NASDAQ) and Twitch On Blockchain

Every day, there are tons of blockchain projects that enter the crypto gaming market. They are trying new concepts to replace existing, proven ones. That is, among other reasons, why crypto games is saturated with virtual pets. Although it may seem less risky than other options, you can never predict when that tipping point will occur.

However, original ideas are more likely to be rejected. These ideas often require more work to create the product and thus higher development costs. On the other hand, being a pioneer is courageous, because they often proceed in relative “darkness,” treading new ground at each step.

Onessus is an ecosystem featuring games, an online marketplace for both physical and virtual items, and a game streaming service, all connected by one token ecosystem – VOID.

Onessus Games: GTA-esque NiftyVille, and the HodlGod Battle Royale

Only a matter time before we had another Grand Theft Auto game that was based on blockchain. It is attractive to see an open-world, sandbox. Decentraland (and The Sandbox) have taken the limelight in that field. Polka City offers a very similar experience as the NiftyVille.

Let’s be honest NiftyVille does have more attractive visuals than Polka City. The colours are more vivid, and the style is less realistic, which makes it look like the recently released ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.’ I do hope that both NiftyVille and Polka City will become exciting games in the future.

HodlGod, on the other hand is a new addition to crypto gaming. This game features a battle royale gameplay that is similar to Dark Souls. This combination is my favorite. There are an endless amount of battle royales in the shooter and beat’em’up genres, However, the concept of Dark Souls focuses on the aspects of fencing and dodging, which slows down gameplay, but makes it similar to Esports.

The VOID Market for Everything and Gaming Streaming Service

Two platforms on Blockchain are the second part of Onessus’ ecosystem. VOID Market, a distributed marketplace for virtual and physical goods like Amazon (NASDAQ:), is slated. A stream-to-earn platform, similar to Twitch or YouTube is the other platform. The official whitepaper for the VOID token contains more information about each.

To The Flipside

• Dante Scott is the father of Jon Scott while Jon Scott is his son. They haven’t yet revealed the whole team though, which of course begs the question “why?” On the other hand, the team on the landing page for the token itself is bigger.
• The roadmap on the official website of the token hasn’t been updated since 2019. CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko have not updated the roadmap for the token since 2019. Developers have not yet provided deadlines for listing.

Conclusion

Onessus could become a global leader if it is managed correctly. This means solving all of the problems with the token’s ecosystem, and providing clarity. Their ideas for blockchain gaming are extremely promising, so let’s wait for more announcements and upgrades in order to make a final decision.
