LONDON, (Reuters) – Shoppers in Britain declined 1.1% from the week prior to December 11, driven by a 2.7% decline in activity on high streets, Springboard reported Monday.

According to it, the UK’s COVID-19 “Plan B” restrictions on England (such as the advice to work at home) did not go into effect until Monday. However, there was a decrease in Central London “Back to the Office”, which nearly doubled the decline in Central London footfall.
