Twitch’s Co-Founder Announces Fractal: A New Marketplace for Gaming NFTs

Justin Kan (Co-Founder of Twitch) today announced that he would be creating a new platform for gamers to trade NFTs on Fractal. Already, the company has established partnerships with leading gaming companies that will soon be releasing new NFTs to the platform. Fractal’s gaming partners will enable players to directly buy NFTs for gaming, and also discover, purchase and sell NFTs of other gamers.

A lot of gaming companies make their money by selling digital goods. Fractal, the marketplace that focuses on in-game gaming NFTs, is one example.

Four industry professionals and serial entrepreneurs in gaming, e-commerce and other industries founded Fractal. Justin Kan, the President of Fractal, was also a co-founder at Twitch. Robin Chan was head of business development and co-founded XPD Media. Zynga acquired it. David Wurtz (Chairman of Product) was the co-founder and advisor to Shopify. Mike Angell is the Chief Technology Officer. He has been with e-commerce for twenty years and was previously employed at Fast and Shopify.

Fractal’s first partners include some of the most innovative games that have already been working on blockchain integrations. Fractal is dropping exclusive NFTs that they have created to give their players access to new features and abilities. Fractal is all about crypto gaming companies creating engaging, replayable games.
