It is the first time that a large weather company has accepted cryptocurrency for payment.

AccuWeather’s official Chainlink oracle node delivers critical weather data to blockchain applications, powered by smart contracts, to create new products and markets, such as weather predictions, hedging markets, and dynamic NFT art and games based on current weather conditions in localized regions.

AccuWeather’s node transmits data to leading blockchains, and cryptographically sign it. This allows users to be certain that the data originated at AccuWeather. AccuWeather uses Chainlink to extend the reach and support of its top weather data in emerging markets.
