Biden ramps up fight against drug traffickers with China, Brazil sanctions, executive orders -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – The U.S. president Joe Biden has signed two executive orders that will combat transnational crime networks and criminal organizations. He also approved sanctioning Chinese firms and Brazil and Mexico organized crime groups, according to officials.

Biden is determined to prove that the administration is taking actions to combat the U.S. opioid crisis. The U.S. has seen more than 100,000 deaths from drug overdoses since April 2021. This is 28% higher than in the same time last year according to Centers for Disease Control data.
