Gemini’s Founder Tyler Winklevoss Mocks US Senate with BTC Ad Budget
  • Tyler Winklevoss is causing a stir on Twitter (NYSE.) following his claim that the Senate has approved an ad worth $2.5 trillion for (BTC).
  • The result was a heated debate on Twitter.
  • BTC and ETH are struggling to regain it.

Tyler Winklevoss (Gemini founder) is well-known for being openly critical of the U.S Senate. He has used Twitter to voice his opinions on the US and Cryptocurrency.

Tyler’s tweet was just as debated as any other tweet. However, a closer look at what he entitled “breaking: Senate OKs $2.5 trillion dollar advertisement for bitcoin” was a sarcastic headline just for laughs following the recently approved Infrastructure bill. Tyler was angered by the controversy surrounding U.S. government tax reforms. Then again, Senator Elizabeth Warren’s tweet calling for a change in tax code in what she referred to as “the rigged tax code” as a result of Elon Musk being named Time’s Person of the Year, compounded Tyler Winklevoss’ rage.

Moreover, Tyler’s tweet at the time of writing got over 15 thousand likes, 2.5 retweets, and more than four hundred plus comments. Although many people got the joke, others felt that he was talking about the CoinMarketCap error earlier in the day.

Additionally, all crypto markets have been experiencing bearish trends. BTC is the cryptocurrency that has seen the greatest drops in recent weeks following an ATH $65,823.73 (November 8, 2021). Bitcoin is also steadily falling since its new highs. A December 12 attempt at regaining its position by announcing a $50,000 payment failed.

CoinMarketCap’s glitch was fixed at press time. Bitcoin has gained 2.75% over the last 24 hours. BTC currently trades at $48,139.49 while Ethereum’s price is $3,849.96 per unit.
