Apple delays return to office indefinitely

AppleStaff was informed Wednesday by the Company that it would delay a return of corporate employees to their offices until a later date. from Bloomberg News NBC News reporter Zoe Schiffer.
Apple CEO Tim Cook stated in a memo that employees would be given a month of head-up before the new date was set. Additionally, $1000 would be awarded to staff members for furnishing their homes with office furniture. The reports claim that Apple originally planned to have most employees return to the workplace on February 1.
Apple spokesperson confirmed that Apple is still waiting for a return date to its office.
This delay is due to Silicon Valley neighbor Google telling its employees earlier this monthThat they wouldn’t be expected to report back at the office on Jan. 10, as was planned. This delay is also due to rising Covid cases as well as the Omicron variant which seems more transmissible.
Apple began sending corporate workers to work remotely in March 2020 as the pandemic was brewing. However, some employees have since returned to work and many of Apple’s stores remain open.
Apple continued to introduce new products during the pandemic and increased sales, despite the fact that Apple’s cultural values emphasized collaboration in person, as demonstrated by Apple Park in Cupertino (California).
