WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Fox News Network lost Thursday’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit for $1.6 billion brought by Dominion Voting Systems Inc. The voting system company claims that Fox News Network defamed its network by spreading conspiracy theories regarding its technology.

Eric Davis, a Delaware judge, ruled that Dominion had adequately alleged it was defamed in Fox News’ coverage of the election and ordered that the case proceed to trial.
