Gita, chief economist for the International Monetary Fund, (IMF), called for a policy worldwide that will regulate cryptocurrency rather than ban it.

Gopinath, the IMF’s deputy managing director, advocated for a worldwide policy. He argued that countries could ban crypto, but they wouldn’t have control over any offshore exchanges not under their jurisdiction, and that this would lead to them being completely ignored.
