Dr. Anthony Fauci stated Friday that a redefinition on what it means for a person to have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 was “on the table”.

CNBC’s Squawk Box interviewed President Joe Biden’s top physician, and he stated that boosters were the most effective way to get vaccinated.

Individuals are currently considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second dose from a series of two-dose vaccines, such as the PfizerBioNtechtwo weeks following the administration of a single-dose vaccination, like the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Fauci, however, stated that Friday’s meeting was open for discussion about the definitions.

He stated, “There is no question that boosters are the best way to get optimum vaccines.”

It is open to discussion whether or not the CDC will change this. The exact date is unknown. However, I believe people need to remember that boosters are essential if they want optimal protection.
