Gita Gopinath (the chief economist at the International Monetary Fund) has called for a worldwide policy that regulates cryptocurrency instead of banning them.

Gopinath, the IMF’s deputy managing director, advocated for a worldwide policy. He argued that countries could ban crypto, but they wouldn’t have control over any offshore exchanges not under their jurisdiction, and that this would lead to them being completely ignored.
