WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. infectious diseases expert Anthony Fauci stated Sunday that the Omicron coronavirus variant is easily transmitted and “raging throughout the world”. He urged Americans not to stop wearing masks and get booster shots.

Fauci told NBC’s Meet the Press that traveling can increase the chance of contracting infection, even for those who have been vaccinated.
