MILAN (Reuters), – Ferrari, a luxury sports car manufacturer, announced Monday that it would shake up its leadership. This was Benetto Vigna’s first big move. Three top executives will be leaving the company.
According to the automaker, Chief Technology Officer Michael Leiters has decided to leave.
It stated that the planned restructuring, which will be revealed in full on January 10, is consistent with Ferrari’s strategic goals of exclusivity and excellence, as well as sustainability.
Vigna is an industry veteran who assumed the role of CEO at September’s beginning with the task of driving Ferrari into the next era in electrification.
According to the automaker, this new management structure “will further foster innovation and optimise processes while increasing collaboration with partners”.
Leiters is a German citizen who joined Ferrari in 2014. He helped to develop Ferrari’s most recent models including this year’s SF90 Stradale, 2019’s 296 GTB and the House’s two first hybrid electric cars, the 296 GTB.
Vincenzo Regazzoni, Chief Manufacturing Officer, and Nicola Boari Chief Brand Diversification Officer, are two other top executives who have left the company. Boari was responsible for Ferrari’s luxury push, which culminated in the June unveiling of the first ever in-house fashion line.
Ferrari announced that the key players in the new structure have already been identified via internal promotions, new hires and they will start joining the company next month.
