Explore Instagram’s Possibility for NFT IntegrationFollowing a Q&A session over the weekend on the popular social media platform, the chief executive officer of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has disclosed that the firm is actively exploring non-fungible tokens and the various ways they can be made accessible to their users. Responding to an inquiry from user looking for opinions about incorporating NFTs into Instagram, the CEO disclosed this information. Responding, the CEO said that it is possible.
“Nothing new yet. However, we are active in exploring NFTs and ways we can make these more accessible for a larger audience.”
Additionally, the CEO mentioned that his company is committed to supporting content creators. He stated that it was an “inspirational place” that they could play in and that it would also benefit creators. Rumours that Meta, a photo-sharing site owned by Meta, was looking to expand into NFT were reported earlier this year. This is thought to be part of Meta’s meta-verse goals. Sean Williams, a digital artist, revealed part of these plans to Instagram in May. He said that Instagram was in contact with many artists in the NFT space and was currently working on creating an NFT platform.

Alessandro Paluzzi, a popular app developer revealed details about NFT for Instagram in June of this year. His Twitter account (NYSE:), at that time had shown screenshots of the “collectibles” he was talking about, and he thought Instagram would eventually integrate them. He also mentioned that Instagram had continued to work on “collectibles”, and added the option of linking a digital wallet such as the MetaMask. Instagram, however, has yet to confirm these details. Paluzzi confirmed that Instagram plans to support Coinbase and Novi Wallets.
According to the CEO, Instagram’s intention is to highlight its influencers in tokenized formats.
