Bigger fries off the menu as Japan McDonald’s faces supply crunch -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters), – McDonald’s Japan Holdings Company Japan stated Tuesday that the company would cease selling medium and large-sized fries beginning Friday, due to supply chain problems.

Company is experiencing delays in potato deliveries due to issues in supply chains caused by both the COVID-19 pandemic and Canadian shipping disruptions. It stated that the potatoes for french fries were imported from North America.

According to the fast food chain, french fries will still be available in smaller sizes.

However, the company didn’t quantify the financial consequences of temporary suspension.
