REUTERS/Benoit TessierPARIS (Reuters), SMCP, a French fashion company has named Charlotte Tasset Ferrec chief executive officer for its Maje brand. The former head Nina Ricci’s high-end fashion brand Nina Ricci was recruited to lead its second-largest label.
This appointment is made after a group bondholders, who recently took over the majority of SMCP’s shares following the default of a bond owned by a Chinese company, called for changes to the board and stated that they would like to sell their share to a third party.
After three years as the CEO of Nina Ricci Fashion & Perfume at the Puig Group, Charlotte Tasset Ferrec (48) joins Maje to become CEO. SMCP stated that she had helped the brand achieve profitability and a turnaround during her tenure there.
Before this she worked in retail for 15 years, 9 of which were at Printemps where she served as Chief Merchandising officer.
