TOKYO (Reuters] – Japan considers raising its projection for fiscal 2022 real domestic product growth (GDP), to 3.0% or higher after taking into consideration the effect of a record $317billion extra budget, Yomiuri newspaper reported.

It would represent an increase from the forecast of 2.2% real GDP for fiscal year beginning in April 2022, which was published at mid-year reviews in July.

Cabinet was to approve the forecast after Parliament approved Thursday’s extra budget of 36 trillion Japanese yen (316.73 million dollars) for the current fiscal.
