Swiss Q3 current account surplus widens to 24 billion francs -Breaking

ZURICH (Reuters – Switzerland had a surplus in its current account of 24 billion Swiss francs (or $26.6 billion) for the third quarter, which was 10 billion higher than the quarter in 2020. This is according to the Swiss National Bank (SNB), Tuesday.

The SNB stated in a statement that the increase in receipts was due to the significant higher goods trade surplus.

The surplus for the second quarter was close to 11 billion Swiss Francs.
