The President Joe Biden will deliver Tuesday’s progress report regarding the fight against the pandemic coronavirus, which is caused by the spread of the contagious Omicron variant.

The administration anticipates a spike in winter cases and will focus its efforts on improving support for hospitals, increasing access to Covid testing, increasing vaccine delivery capacity, and expanding the availability of Covid.

Biden’s address comes just days after White House revelations. that the president was in close contact with someone who tested positive for the virus. The White House confirmed that Biden had tested negative Monday after spending 30 minutes with the staffer on Air Force One.

Jen Psaki, press secretary, said that the unnamed individual, who was described as “mid-level staff” before taking off, tested positive on Monday. However, a second test came back negative. Biden received another negative antigen test on Sunday. She stated that Biden will be tested once more Wednesday.

In the wake of the widespread omicron variant, the White House expects more employees to become positive over the next few days. This strain was only weeks old and now has a total of about 400,000 people. nearly three-fourths of all new infections in the U.S.

Biden is scheduled to speak in the White House state dining area. Biden promises that fully vaccinated and booster Americans are safeguarded against severe illness caused by this new wave.

Biden will warn the public that those not vaccinated face a higher risk of becoming sick, and they are likely to end up in hospital or being killed by Covid.

The Biden administration anticipates an increase in vaccine use with approximately 40 million Americans not vaccinated.
