The oil and gas sector is still thriving despite the worldwide search for cleaner energy resources. Analysts expect oil prices to reach $100 in 2023, after hovering at $70-plus during their most recent trading session. Our view is that the bullish trends in the market could work to the advantage of less-known stocks such as San Juan Basin Royalty and VOC Energy (VOC), PHX Minerals(PHX) and Barnwell (BRN). Renewables may be more expensive than oil and natural gas, but the industry has been around for quite some time. According to the United States Energy Information Administration, November prices were $81/barrel. This is a $38 increase over November 2020. Additionally, 99.7 millions barrels of oil and liquid fuels were consumed worldwide in November. This is an increase of 4.9 million barrels compared to the same month last years.

After a session of declines, oil prices recovered on Tuesday, 20 December. Brent crude went up 3.4% to $73.98 a barrel while West Texas Intermediate gained 3.7% to reach $71.12 per bar. Additionally, investment bank analysts also noted that Brent crude rose by 3.4% to $73.98 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 3.7% to settle at $71.12 a barrel. Goldman Sachs Group Oil prices will reach $100 per barrel by 2023, according to the NYSE:

The upbeat mood in the market could benefit the lesser-known oil & natural gas stocks of San Juan Basin Royalty Trust, VOC Energy Trust, PHX Mining Inc. (PHX) and Barnwell Industries, Inc., (BRN), due to their growing potential. These stocks trade at less than $10.
