NEW YORK – U.S. District Court Alison Nathan has received several notes from jurors in New York who are currently deliberating on the case of British socialite GhislaineMaxwell. The notes are not intended to reveal jurors thoughts but provide insight into evidence they were discussing from Monday afternoon.

ACCUSER CAROLYN’S TABLES WITH THE FBI

The jury asked Nathan Tuesday for more details on Carolyn’s testimony. He said that Carolyn was the first woman to claim Maxwell had abused her as a 14-year-old girl. Carolyn claimed Maxwell touched her naked body once while Carolyn was preparing to give Epstein an illicit massage.

Jeffrey Pagliuca, a defense attorney, attempted to undermine Carolyn’s credibility by pressing her on why Maxwell was not mentioned in an interview with the FBI.

Jurors requested the judge to review the FBI conversation. Nathan stated that the FBI conversation was not admissible, however they were able to review the trial transcript.

“It’s correct that in the entire discussion with FBI 2007 it was true that you have never mentioned the name Ghislaine Maxill once. Carolyn was asked by Pagliuca, according to transcript.

Carolyn answered, “Yes. It’s not the person we were referring to.”

Maxwell is facing a sex trafficking count, which could land him in prison for up to 40 years. Maxwell, aged 59, pleaded no guilty to six counts each of sextrafficking and related crimes.

WHAT REPORTANCE DOES THE TESTIMONY OF ANNIE FARMER HAVE?

In deciding whether Maxwell, or Annie Farmer, conspired for underage girls travel to illegal sex act and transport them to do so in two cases of six each, the jurors asked Nathan.

Farmer (42 years old) testified Maxwell touched her breasts during a massage she gave her at Epstein’s New Mexico ranch. This was in 1996, when Farmer had just 16 years.

Nathan told the jury Farmer’s consent was not required in New Mexico. Any encounters Farmer described would be considered legal sex.

This meant Farmer couldn’t be considered to have been a victim or lured by Maxwell to travel for sexual sex.

Nathan stated to the jury that Maxwell could still be examined by them in order to determine if they had conspired against those laws.
