France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.24% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Paris closed with the gain of 1.24% and the index climbing 1.24%.

Airbus Group SE(PA:) was the best performer of the session, rising 4.01% (or 4.28 points) to trade at 111.08 at the closing. Capgemini SE, PA: added 3.62% (or 7.40 points) to close at 211.60 Safran In late trade, SA (PA:), was up 2.7% or 3.02 to 104.56.

They were also the session’s worst performers Carrefour SA (PA) dropped 0.89%, or 0.14 point to close at 15.62. Engie SA (PA) lost 0.09 points or 0.69 percent to close at 12.86. Eurofins Scientific SE was 0.26 off to reach 107.94.

Ovh Groupe SAS, which rose 6.97% and was at 23.25 on the SBF 120, were the top performers. Mcphy Energy (PA) which was 6.85% higher to settle at 21.06 Valneva (PA:), which saw 6.12% increase to close at 26.020.

These were the worst performers Vallourec (PA to:), which fell 0.92% at 8.660 in late trading, Carrefour SA(PA:), which lost 0.89% at 15.62, and Engie SA [PA:] which dropped 0.69% at 12.86 at close.

The Paris Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpassing declining stocks by 420 to203, and the 84 ending unchanged.

Ovh Groupe SAS’ shares rose to their highest levels ever; they gained 6.97%, or 1.51 to 23.25.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 52-week high.

For February delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.65% to $1800.25 an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 1.08 to reach $72.17/barrel, and March Brent oil, which rose by 1.07% or 0.79, trading at $74.75/barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.41% to 1.1329 while EUR/GBP dropped 0.22% at 0.8482.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.422% at 96.085.
