ZURICH, Reuters – World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab stated that the 2022 World Economic Forum annual meeting will take place in Davos (Switzerland Alpine Resort), putting an end to speculations about a possible relocation.

Schwab stated that the conference would be held in Davos when Schwab was asked by Blick tabloid whether Singapore could once again be considered for an event to attract the elite business and political leaders.

Organisers were planning to move the location for 2021 to a high-altitude conference centre in Switzerland or Singapore, but they had to cancel it due to the pandemic.

On Monday, the WEF delayed the next annual meeting to mid-2022 because of Omicron coronavirus.
