France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.77% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

As the Paris market closed, the index rose by 0.77%, hitting a new 1-month peak, and the stock exchange gained 0.74 percent.

These were the best performers of the session Safran SA (PA) rose by 2.37%, or 2.48 points, to close at 107.04. Meanwhile, Renault SA (PA) gained 2.13%, or 0.62 points, to finish at 29.80. Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA was up 1.83% (or 1.10 points) to 61.06 late trade.

ArcelorMittal SA(AS:), the worst performer of the session, fell 2.04% (0.59 points) to trade at 28,36 at the closing. Hermes International SCA(PA:), a decline of 1.13% (17.50 points) to 1533.00, and Orange SA: (PA:), a drop of 0.26% (0.02 points) to 9.35.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 52-week high.

For February delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.41% to $1809.55 per troy an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 0.88 to reach $73.64/barrel in February. The March Brent oil contract increased 1.28%, or 0.96, to trade at $76.24/barrel.

EUR/USD rose 0.11% at 1.1336, and EUR/GBP dropped 0.37% to 0.8449

At 95.985, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.08%.
