Okcoin adds Banking Industry Veterans as Leadership, As Institutional Demand Keeps Growing

Okcoin, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing cryptocurrency platforms, today announced the hiring of three senior sales hires across North America, Europe, and Oceania as part of the company’s institutional business expansion. Each having substantial foreign exchange (FX) experience, Okcoin’s leadership additions include Tom Gould as Head of Sales, North America; Iskandar Vanblarcum as Head of Sales and General Manager, Europe; and Paul Goldman as General Manager, Australia. Vanblarcum and Goldman will be working with Okcoin’s sales representatives in Asia and Latin America in order to accelerate global Okcoin institutional account growth, which increased by 450% between 2021 and 2021.

Tom Gould Head of North America Sales: Gould was most recently Head of US Sales at LMAX Exchange. This exchange is part of LMAX Group. Gould previously held the roles of Director of E-Commerce FX Sales, Bank of America (NYSE:), and Director of eFX Sales. Credit Suisse (SIX:).

Iskandar Vandblarcum, Europe Head of Sales and General Management: Vanblarcum joins Okcoin from London Stock Exchange Group/Refinitiv/Thomson Reuters, where he was Head of FX New Business. He was previously the Managing Director of FX Sales. Barclays (LON:) Capital.

Paul Goldman is the General Manager for Australia. Goldman served as Head of Sales for the Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency trading platform EQONEX. Goldman has been Head of Sales for Ceevo and Director of eFX Sales at HSBC. He was also Director of Margin FX Business Management and FX Sales at Macquarie Group.

Vanblarcum and Goldman joined Okcoin during a period of high demand for digital asset services. According to Nickel Digital Asset Management research, 62% global institutional investors who have zero exposure to crypto expect to invest in cryptocurrency within the next 12 months. To serve existing and forthcoming clients, Okcoin offers bundled trading products including exchange liquidity, OTC trading, wallet services, robust sub-account management, post-trade settlement, and an API for Earn, the platform’s decentralized finance (DeFi) and staking feature.
