Punks VS Apes: It's a fight for NFT dominance

Bored Apes & CryptoPunks are the only two groups that have performed consistently well, in spite of all the excitement and noise surrounding NFT drop and its hype. Jordan Belfort aka “The Wolf Of Wall Street” purchased a Punk around October. Although this Punk purchase did not make it to the top ten of sales for the week, it is a sign that CryptoPunks have high demand. Bored Ape Yacht Club has been the preferred social club of the elite NFT. The club’s roots are deep and its ever-expanding reach makes it a good investment.

This all shows that there is a war in the upper reaches of blockchain. As Apes and Punks fought for dominance in crypto, fans watched with fascination. Then the moment came when the crowd was stunned by the sudden change of guard. In December, many pundits forecasted “a moment for change”, or when the floor price of the Bored Ape Yacht Club would exceed that of long-time champions, CryptoPunks. On December 22, it finally happened. OpenSea and NFT market, OpenSea claim that the Bored Apes are now the most valued asset in the town.

Emotional owners lit fireworks and champagne corks flew through the air in reckless abandon. Bored Ape’s floor price was 53.9 ETH while CryptoPunks were at 52.69 ETH. Or was it that the war had ended? Despite the dominance of BAYC, the CryptoPunks sold more than the Bored Apes by two factors, and their floor prices were within one whisker of each others.

There is currently no CryptoPunks floor price, as they are not available for sale. CryptoPunks represent an unfathomable asset, and are more valuable than the Bored Apes. You will see that the Bored Ape Yacht Clubs don’t have the most expensive Apes. It is possible that the fight may not end yet.
