SEOUL (Reuters). Two members of K-pop band BTS tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, following their return from South Korea’s first Pandemic-era concert in America. Their management company Big Hit Music stated.
RM (rapper), and Jin (vocalist), were both diagnosed with COVID-19 a few days after Suga (songwriter, rapper, and member of the seven-member band) tested positive.
The company stated that all three of them had received second doses from a coronavirus shot in August.
BTS’s 2013 release has seen them lead a K-Pop revolution with their catchy music and dancing, lyrics, and social campaigns that empower youth.
BTS performed the first concert in America since their 2019 tour that took them across Asia, Europe, and North America.
RM is Kim Nam-joon’s real name. Jin is Kim Seok Jin-jin and initially test negative when he returned to South Korea this month.
Big Hit Music stated that RM who was about to be released from mandatory quarantine had tested positive.
Jin was negative for the second time after he had been released from quarantine. However, he later became ill and was diagnosed with mild symptoms.
The company stated that neither Jin nor RM made contact with members of the group upon their return from South Korea.
