Apple closes stores to customers in New York City due to Covid surge

AppleThe company shut down its indoor retail stores in New York City Monday because of an increased number of Covid-19 cases. However, online customers can still order products from other locations. website indicated Monday.
Following a rapid spread of the omicron variant, there has been a significant increase in Covid-19 cases. We don’t know how long these closures will continue.
This move affects 11 stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island. It doesn’t mean that all the shops will be closed down, as the company did in the past in order to stop the spread of the virus.
Apple’s U.S. retail outlets were closed in the early 2020 to deal with the outbreak of the coronavirus. The company reopened its stores and required employees to use masks. The company’s retail workers have access to weekly home tests.

Apple released earlier this month. temporarily closedDue to increasing cases, stores are being closed in Miami, Ottawa, Ontario, as well as Annapolis, Md.
In a Monday release, the company stated that they regularly monitor the health of the employees and customers. “We are committed to continuing a holistic approach to our teams, which includes daily testing and health checks as well as employee and customer masking and deep cleaning. We also offer paid sick and unpaid leave.”
