Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3, is one the most anticipated gaming events of the year. Moreover, it’s no longer a place for just geeks nowadays. Gaming merch and cosplay have become part of E3’s culture. In my opinion, blockchain games’ appearance at E3 was a major success for the industry.

Even though, in 2021, the expo was held online due to the world’s ongoing situation, it gave smaller gaming studios the opportunity to take to gaming’s biggest stage, while not spending too much on the costs that inherently come with a physical presence.

Blankos Block Party presented at E3
Mythical Gaming, creators of Blankos Block Party was the fearless pioneer that used blockchain to create regular games. Their AAA-level AAA-level game was the first to use characters and other items that were authenticated using non-fungible tokens. This allowed them to exhibit it at E3, which is the most important gaming conference worldwide.

Blankos Block Party combines many of the features from a huge online party game with an in-game building mode made using NFTs, blockchain technology and includes collecting features. The visuals were inspired by many artists. This was the first NFT/blockchain game ever to take place on this large stage.

Blankos Block Party was first announced many years ago. However, it wasn’t until this summer that players had the chance to experience it. The game has been through many early access stages, launched its marketplace and captured the imagination of many players.
