Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The gained 1.10% at the Tel Aviv close to reach a new record.

Melisron, which rose 3.8% or 890 point to trade at 288990 at the closing, was the best performer of the session. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd, which added 3.02% (or 171 points) to trade at 5840. Israel Corp TASE: was up 3.0% or 4070 points at 139570 in late-trade.

They were also the worst performers of the session. Shapir Engineering Industry TASE:, which dropped 0.82% (or 23 points) to trade at 2792 by the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE 🙂 lost 0.58% (20 points) to reach 3420. Nice Ltd was down 0.55% (530 points) to 96000.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining ones by 318 to199, and ended the day unchanged at 21.

Melisron shares rose to new highs (TASE:), gaining 3.18% or 890-28890. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd rose to 52-week peak levels; up 3.02%, 171 to 53840. Israel Corp shares (TASE) rose by 3.00%, or 4070-to 139570 to reach 5-year highs.

The February delivery of crude oil was 0.52 percent higher at $76.09 per barrel. Brent oil, which was due for delivery March 1, rose 0.58 percent to $78.80/barrel, and the February Gold Futures contract gained 0.19% (or 3.45) to trade at $1812.25/troy ounce.

USD/ILS decreased by 0.36%, to 3.1009; EUR/ILS fell 0.4% to 3.5094.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.1% at 96.080.
