NEW YORK, (Reuters) – The British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell sex abuse trial jury was scheduled to reconvene Tuesday. This follows three days of deliberate proceedings in which jurors reviewed the testimony from four women that Maxwell abused them.

Maxwell, 60 is accused of grooming and recruiting the women for sexual encounters when they were teens with Jeffrey Epstein. The trial lasted three weeks and jurors were able to hear emotional testimony from three women. One of the three said Maxwell had touched her nude body.

Robert Maxwell’s daughter has pleaded guilty to six charges of sexual trafficking. She claims she’s being treated as a victim by Epstein, who committed suicide in Manhattan while waiting for his trial.

After a break of four days for Christmas, Manhattan federal court deliberations resumed Monday.

Nathan requested jurors on Monday that they consider continuing deliberations until 6:05 p.m. instead of the usual hour, and begin on Tuesday, if they still haven’t reached a verdict.

She said, “I’m not trying to force you in any manner.” You should be able to take as much time as you want.

During the deliberations jurors demanded Nathan transcripts and testimony from other witnesses to support the accounts of the four women.

Maxwell’s defense repeatedly attacked the credibility of Maxwell’s women in cross-examination. He argued their memories had been corrupted over years, and they didn’t mention Maxwell at all during earlier accounts about Epstein’s abuse.
