Poland reports highest number of COVID-related deaths in fourth wave -Breaking

WARSAW, (Reuters) – Poland has reported 794 COVID-related death on Wednesday. This is the most in the fourth wave. A deputy health minister suggested that the delay in reporting could have been due to Christmas.

Waldemar Kraska reported that 75% more people who died than expected were not vaccinated.

He said that he believes we are at the peak of deaths in this country, according to Polsat News.

Poland is experiencing an unabatedly high number of daily infections. However, the Omicron strain has not yet been established.

Kraska reported that Poland had 15571 COVID-19 new infections on Wednesday. This is 13% more than the week before. On Tuesday, there were only 25 Omicron-related cases in Poland.
