Ajay Tiagi (CEO of SEBI), urged mutual funds against investing in crypto assets, as new regulations regarding cryptocurrency are being considered by the government. Tyagi addressed a press conference Tuesday. AdvisoryFirms are asked to keep away from crypto asset funds until they have clarity about the regulatory and policy framework.

Although Indian regulations are currently unclear, cryptocurrency has experienced an explosive rise in popularity. There are no tax requirements for crypto investments in the country.
