After being minted, newborn baby avatars are capable of aging. This gives avatar owners the option to choose when to “age” their babies and have them develop into adults. As they age, avatars preserve the genetic information that was present at their birth and acquire new genes.

Nine basic genes will be present in a Novatar baby. The 9 basic genes in a Novatar’s baby are obligatory. As the Novatar matures into an adult, however the total number of genes in the body increases to 14. Of these, 10 of them are mandatory and 4 of the rest are optional.

For baby avatars there are 6 variations of each gene, while adults have 11 variants for their individual genes, with the exception of the genes that code skin, hair and eyebrow color.
