Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index dropped 0.25% and the index fell 0.30% at closing in NYSE. Index lost 0.16%.

Walt and his team were the top performers during the session. Disney Company (NYSE 🙂 rose by 0.8% or 1.06 points, to close at 155.93. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) added 0.44% or 0.76 points to end at 172.31 and International Business Machines (NYSE:) was up 0.42% or 0.56 points to 133.91 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:), which fell 0.86% or 1.42 points to trade at 162.77 at the close. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:), fell 0.77%, or 2.63 points, to close at 339.32. Nike Inc (NYSE:), was at 167.49, down 0.7% or 1.29 points.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Penn National Gaming Inc (NASDAQ) – This rose 4.54% at 51.30 Twitter Inc (NYSE) was up by 3.98% at 44.46; ViacomCBS Inc(NASDAQ:) gained 3.77% at 31.12.

Biogen Inc (NASDAQ) was the worst performer, falling 7.9% to 240.00 in late trading. APA Corporation was also down (NASDAQ) and settled at 27.06. CF Industries Holdings Inc was at 71.88.

Kiora Pharmaceuticals Inc. was among the best performers in the NASDAQ Composite. It rose 93.18% from 1.700 to 1.700. Supercom Ltd (NASDAQ:) The stock was up by 40.10% and settled at 0.6111 Inspira Technologies Oxy BHN Ltd (NASDAQ:), which saw an increase of 27.47% and closed at 4.78

For February delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.54% to $1815.50 (or 9.70) an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 0.14%, or 0.11, to reach $76.45/barrel, while March Brent oil contract rose by 0.06%, or 0.05, to trade at $79.06/barrel.

EUR/USD surged 0.03% to 1.1326 and USD/JPY climbed 0.01% up to 115.07.
