DUBAI (Reuters – Iran’s Thursday space launch failed to place its three payloads in orbit because the rocket could not reach speed required, a defense ministry spokesperson said on Friday.

It must reach speeds of more than 7,600 metres per second in order for a payload that is to be placed into orbit. “We reached 7,350”, a spokesperson said during a documentary on the launch vehicle that was broadcast by state television and then posted online.
