Starting from the 19th of December 2021, players worldwide have used their mobile devices to track down various Kryptomon loot boxes together with eggs, in a style reminiscent of the popular Pokémon Go. Full Moon Treasure Hunt is the first event of its type in the crypto gaming world. It combines the virtual and physical worlds. It also allows players to find and collect NFTs from the real world by playing a game that is location-based. Players can then have their NFTs minted straight into their digital wallets.

According to the company, over 4,000 participants took part in this three-day event. The trainers were awarded $156,000 of loot boxes and eggs. The rarest prize was won by a Generation 0 Kryptomon player. The player could earn over $25,000 if he chooses to sell, as only 100 Generation 0 egg will be ever made. Although more information has not yet been made public, the company announced that they will continue to offer their Full Moon Treasure Hunt program.
