Gary Gensler (chair of United States Securities and Exchange Commission) has appointed a new staff member, who will be providing advice in relation to crypto policymaking and other interagency issues.
The SEC made a Thursday announcement. Corey Frayer would be joining Gensler’s executive staff as a senior adviser on the agency’s oversight of cryptocurrencies. Frayer was a member of the Senate Banking Committee’s professional staff and a senior adviser to the House Financial Services Committee, along with Brad Miller (NYSE:).
