Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump subpoenaed in New York probe of Trump Organization

Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump were subpoenaed by the New York Attorney General’s Office for a civil investigation of the companyFormer President Donald Trump, a court filing revealed Monday.

These subpoenas were issued in an attempt to get the Trump family to testify under oath regarding valuations of real property assets owned by Trump Organization. Eric Trump did last year after losing a legal fight that sought to delay his interviewUntil after their father’s defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

Subpoenas would also be granted to investigators for any matter the Attorney General finds relevant, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court court filing.

New York Attorney General Letitia JamesAlready, it was well-known that the ex-president Trump’s office had filed this document.

She didn’t know that Donald Jr. runs the Trump Organization along with Eric and Ivanka. Eric was a senior White House advisor under their father’s government. The New York TimesFirst details about the filing were reported.

The elder Trump last month sued James in federal court in Albany, New York,She is trying to stop her investigation. It focuses on claims that Trump Organization misrepresented various property values in an attempt to maximize financial gains. Trump filed suit to block James’ investigation, arguing, among others, that James is biased politically. Trump is a Republican and the attorney general is a Democrat.

According to James’s filing Monday, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka dispute the subpoenas.

James’ spokesperson and Trumps lawyers didn’t immediately reply to inquiries for comment.
