Fanatics acquires Topps trading cards

Fanatics’ e-commerce business Michael Rubin has bought Topps trading cards. This was confirmed by sources who spoke to CNBC.
The terms of the agreement are not known, however industry sources estimate that it will be worth more than $500 million. One source claimed that the agreement will only include Topps’ brand and its sports and entertainment division. However, it won’t cover candy or gift cards.
Topps and Fanatics refused to comment.
On Tuesday, an announcement will be made.
Topps’ value was $1.3B in the last SPAC merger Mudrick Capital Acquisition Corp. II
