Fed’s Kashkari abandons dovish view, sees 2 rate hikes this year -Breaking

(Reuters) – Neel Kashkari, President of Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank said Tuesday that he believes the U.S. central banks will have to increase interest rates twice this year. This is in contrast to his previous view that they should remain at zero for at least 2024.

Kashakari stated in Medium that he had proposed two rate hikes into 2022 as inflation was more severe than expected.
