Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The gained 1.77% at the Tokyo close to reach a new one-month high.

They were the top performers at the session Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. T:, which gained 10.98% (760.0 points) to close at 7680.0. Meanwhile, Hino Motors, Ltd. T: added 6.65%, or 63.0 point to reach 1011.0 Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. T: was at 9100.0, up 6.56% (or 560.0 points) in late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Oji Holdings Corp. (T:) fell by 0.90% to 552.0 points at the closing. AGC Inc, T:), fell 0.73% to 5450.0. Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. T: was at 64840.0, down 0.72% (or 470.0 points).

The Tokyo Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 2515-1120, and ended the day unchanged.

T: shares fell 52 weeks to their lowest point; falling 0.722%, or 470.0, to 64840.0.

The implied volatility index of Nikkei’s 225 options was unchanged at 0% to 19.21.

The February delivery of crude oil fell 0.3% or 0.23 to $75.85 per barrel. Brent oil, which was due for delivery March 1, fell 0.20 percent to reach $78.78/barrel, and the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.3% or 6.45 points to trade at $1806.55 per troy ounce.

USD/JPY increased 0.33% at 115.69 while EUR/JPY rose 0.224% at 130.55.

At 96.330, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.12%.
