China’s cyberspace regulator to require security reviews for apps that influence public opinion

SHANGHAI, (Reuters) – China’s cyberspace regulator issued draft rules Wednesday governing mobile applications. It stated that any apps that can influence public opinion would need to be subject to security review.
The regulator added that mobile app providers must not conduct activities that endanger national security.
