Repsol buys U.S. shale oil and gas assets from Rockdale Marcellus for $222 million -Breaking

MADRID (Reuters). – Spain’s Repsol (OTC) purchased shale gas assets from Rockdale Marcellus in the United States for $222million, a Repsol spokesperson stated. This confirms a Marketline report.

Repsol will be paying $220m in cash, and taking on additional $2million in debt. Rockdale Marcellus sold the assets as part of Chapter 11 proceedings.

These assets are near an area of Pennsylvania, where Repsol has a shale-field operation.
