(Reuters) – Japan’s Sony (NYSE) Group announced that it will create a new company to produce electric vehicles in spring. This is its latest venture into tech and expands its vision for the market.
Kenichiro Yoshida (chairman and president of Sony) made this comment during the CES conference in the United States. The stream was available online.
It would open the company Sony Mobility Inc. in spring 2022. Through it, it will explore the entry into electric vehicles market.
Sony announced the prototype of a vehicle, which is currently being driven on public roads.
